The Boss' Eulogy for the Big Man

Not only is Springsteen a gifted songwriter and the greatest live performer of all time, but the man is human in a way that few of us are.  He feels.  He empathizes.  We should all be so lucky to have a friend who speaks of us like this when we die - who doesn't just bullshit about how wonderful we were, but who gets us and makes sure everyone else does, as well. Someone who can speak to who we were - paint a picture of a flawed, yet 3-dimensional soul.  Beautiful.

It Gets Better

You're going to want to grab some Kleenex for this one.  A Texas councilman gives an eloquent speech about the recent string of suicides among gay teens.  I can only imagine how tough it is to be seen as "different" when growing up.  Life is hard enough.   Poor kids.
