Oh this girl is good. Real good. Goes by the name of Dark Gracie. I'm not the only one who's smitten. She's a regular on Fleshbot, has been reviewed by Playboy, and teases thousands of us on a daily basis via her naughty little Twitter account. She is absolutely filthy and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's not just that she writes about sex, though. It's that she is somehow able to balance being graphic, real, and literate... in one breath. This is a woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind... or fuck yours in the process. Q: Of all the things you've written, what are you most proud of?
My first reaction would be the 50,000 word novel I spit out last November for NaNoWriMo. It's not published yet, though I do have a chapter published on my blog. You'll have to forgive the grammar, spelling or anything along those lines because I just threw it up there "as is." This novel is based on a true story about my experience with a married man and the affair we had several years ago. Writing this novel was not only an accomplishment (completed in 15 days) but it was therapy for me in getting over the heartache of that particular relationship.
Q: Anais Nin seems to have been a huge influence. Who else has inspired you?
I love Nin and I am so honored that you can tell she is a great influence on me. As far as inspirations in my writing, I have had many men and women over the years inspire me. The one man that sticks out the most would be "V." We wrote the category on my blog called Deviant Dreams (this used to be a separate blog, but I ended up folding the posts into the main one). "V" tapped into the darker depths of my mind. We made great stories together and had a very deep and loving relationship for years, but... nothing lasts forever and all great things eventually come to an end (like Rome). I miss him and I do hope that one day we will find each other in a better frame of mind.
Q: Who are some of your favorite living writers, filmmakers, and photographers?
I have been very terrible about reading lately, but some of my favorite living authors are Chuck Palahniuk and Neil Gaiman. Chuck writes poetic sentences and I have used a lot of his quotes to describe myself in a sense. He is an amazing writer with brilliant ideas. Neil wrote one of my favorite books that was recommended to me by the boyfriend and it's called Good Omens. The idea was so dark and amazing and I could not put the book down. He wrote Coraline, of course, and that was original... along with the movie that I saw twice in the theater.
I am a big Wes Anderson fan and love the majority of his films. Again, he is creative, original, and eccentric. His movies always have great dialogue, as well. I love great movies, in general, and I have a lot of favorites by various directors.
As far as photographers go, my favorite is Lithium Picnic (AKA Philip Warner). I have had a crush on him for many years. I was using his images of Apnea to represent the darkness of me before cult/dark photography was mainstream. It also doesn't hurt that he is hot as fuck.
Q: What do you do to get into a creative zone? Do you listen to music? Block out distractions?
I like to be naked or near naked when writing. I feel free, I feel sexy, and I feel unrestricted. Sometimes I listen to music, but, if I do, it needs to be sexy to me. Sometimes it's not the words, but the rhythm or the way a guitar sounds or some kind of piano keys playing. It has to be keep me aroused... with my lips parted and my eyes dreamy. I don't have kids, so there aren't too many distractions except for my two cats... but they are usually too busy sleeping to bother me.
Q: What kind of feedback do you get from women, in particular?
The majority of women that interact via email, tweet, message or comment are appreciative and inspired by me. The only women that are ever negative are the ones that stumble across my blog from a shitty Marie Claire interview that was done years ago on my blog. Those women don't like me so much and will say I'm sick and need help. That doesn't bother me none; in fact, I laugh when I get those comments. It's rare to get a negative reaction from a woman. I love women so much. How could they hate me?
Q: Is there anything you haven't tried, sexually, that you'd like to experience?
There is plenty that I have not tried, sexually. My main obsession would be vaginal fisting and I am hoping to nip that one in the bud by the end of this year. I have been propositioned for a threesome a few times, but never accepted. I am hoping if the energy is right one of these days that I can properly experience that, as well.

I have a huge fascination with blood and knives. I want to properly interact with someone rehearsed in such an act. Well... I plan on writing another book this November and, hopefully, will get one (or both) of the novels published. I have a potential new lover in the works and I will continue writing until I am bigger than Jesus. I have high expectations for myself.
