Gaga Inspired by Springsteen
Ok, first off... this isn't Buddha (what kind of name is that?). Hell no. I'm the same genius/God-like being who posted the video of Bon Jovi covering Bruce. I mean... Buddha is too "cool" for Pop stars. Whatever. Anyhoo... he's out scoring crystal meth, so... I thought I'd take over his pathetic little site. I think he rambled on about Lady Gaga being a massive Springsteen fan before and I KNOW he'd FREAK if he knew that I was posting one of her songs (plus an interview), but fuck him. Yeah... you heard me. Fuck him. Seriously, ladies. FUCK him! Ok, no. Back to me, er... to this Lady Gaga and her love of all things Bruce.
So her grandpa dies and she writes "The Edge of Glory" to honor him. Seeing as how she's "really obsessed with Bruce Springsteen", she wanted to incorporate Bruce's sound into it, as well. What does she do? She brought in the Big Man to play sax on the track, wanting it to have "a huge techno rock, Springsteen-esque dance beat." It's actually a good song.
As for the MTV interview (second clip), skip to the 4:33 mark to hear about his influence.
