Birthday #42
This was shot at work on my now old iPhone (hence the shitty quality). They decorated my cube to look like a hot air balloon/picnic (think Up with me as the cranky old guy, Carl). Super creative. The "basket" part that lined the wall was just a bunch of sheets from Costco (the kind they put between bags), but they cut them in strips and literally stained them with tea bags and hot water to make it look like an actual basket. The "Happy Birthday, Tom!" poster was drawn by hand. "Wine" and cheeses. One of the Admin's bought gourmet cupcakes; another made homemade almond roca (42 pieces). The cube was the first phase of the birthday. For lunch, they had my favorite guilty pleasure - a Portillo's Italian Beef sandwich. They also had a candy and dessert bar with candy spread out all over the table. The whole thing was over the top. Oh yeah, then they all sang "Happy Birthday" and it blossomed into a freaky orgy.
Ok, not really. The beef sandwich was juicy enough.
