Karaoke
I went to a karaoke lounge Friday night. I have to admit... I've never done it before. Well... there was that one time in an Arizona bar where I almost belted out "Born to Run", but that was in front of tons of strangers and I bolted before I belted. Anyway... a bunch of us from work went to this high-tech Korean place where they have tons of rooms with touchscreen monitors and leather couches. We had pitchers of beer and some of the best fries and chicken wings I've ever had. With the right songs, I could see myself becoming a total mic whore.
It was a bit loud, but that's probably just because I'm one step away from a retirement home. The girls sang their Debbie Gibson songs, the guys tried their best to be Jay-Z and I jumped up on the table and did a striptease to "Freek-A-Leek"; ok, not really. One thing is for certain... a singer I'm not. Still... it beats singing in the shower. Some of them, though, were really good.
My favorite song of the night... "Break Your Heart" by Taio Cruz and Ludacris.
