Ain't Good Enough for You

Outtake from Darkness on the Edge of Town.  The songs on the album were tough, lean and mean.  He recorded TONS of tracks, though - many of which were good songs, but didn't fit the vision he had in mind. This was one of the fun ones - a silly throwaway track he had no intention of ever releasing.  The first video is a live clip from the studio.  The second is the full song that will soon be released.  Again... it's just meant to be a throwaway.

He jokes about Jimmy Iovine - his recording engineer at the time (and in the studio during the first clip).  Iovine ended up being a huge figure in the music industry (chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M, discovered Eminem, owns the "Beats By Dr. Dre" headphone brand, works with 50 Cent and will soon be an American Idol mentor), but this is just a guy having fun with friends. Iovine was a young Brooklyn kid getting his start with Bruce and John Lennon.
