Sex and Morality

As a followup to my post on porn, I saw a Frisky article that highlights adult videos of the past decade. It came out a few years ago, but Inside Deep Throat is a look back at the impact that movie had on porn and our perception of it. You now have some mainstream films that aren't simulating sex; they're actually doing stuff on camera. Between that and the growing proliferation of sex tapes, I wonder... are we finally shedding our Puritan skin? Let's hope so.

Don't get me wrong... I don't think it's good for society to have pornography forced on anyone. There's nothing wrong with small town values. I think sex tapes (while perfectly normal) are best kept private. I know if my tape (the one with Bea Arthur, Alf and Emmanuel Lewis) became public... I'd be mortified. I certainly wouldn't try to cash in on it. What I'm saying is that... we need to chill out. It's just sex. Really. What two people do or view in the privacy of their own home is their business. Let them embrace their inner kink. Gay, straight, conventional, unconventional... who cares. As long as it's not in-your-face... change the channel.
